Wedding Dance Choreography
DeSarge Danceworld is a dance studio in Naperville that specializes in wedding dance choreography. This includes dances for the bride/groom, father/daughter and mother/dances. We can work with you to personalize your dance to make it just the way you want it! We want you to enjoy your special day and enjoy your time on the dance floor! We will choreograph to your chosen song and if need be, we can cut/mix the music. If you don’t have a song in mind, we have so many to choose from!
We suggest that you get started anywhere from 3-6 months before your wedding. Call at least one week ahead of the time you would like your lesson. As wedding season approaches, our lessons get booked up quickly! What do you have in mind for your first dance? Do you want a basic dance, do you want dips and lifts? Do you want to make sure it is polished and looks good? We always suggest that you finish your dance at least a month before the wedding so that you have time to practice and feel very comfortable with your dance! We want this to be a fun time for all involved!
Mother/Son and Father/Daughter
Your parents don’t want to step on your toes! They would be thrilled to take a lesson or two so that they feel more comfortable on the dance floor with you! It doesn’t have to be a fully choreographed routine. Perhaps your parent learns two or three moves they can use during the song. We have lots of suggestions for songs. We can help!
What should you wear to your lesson?
Ladies, if you have your shoes, it’s a good idea to practice the dance in them! Dancing in heels is so very different from dancing in gym shoes! Guys, if you are wearing dress shoes, bring a pair and practice in them as well! We also suggest that the ladies wear a long dress to practice in for one of the lessons! Your wedding dress will feel very different than the yoga pants you wore to your lessons!
When do we offer lessons?
We offer lessons Monday through Saturday. At the end of each of your lessons we can record, on your phone, all that we have taught you so that you can practice between your lessons. Having a video really helps!
